Donations in-kind

Many of our youth arrive at our doors with only the clothes they have on. Some of the things our youth need are items that most of us use and take for granted every day. To help improve youth's access to basic necessities, Gordon House Youth S.E.A.R.Ch. accepts gifts in-kind including the following:

  • Toiletries: soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, hairbrushes, tissue paper, disposable razors, shaving cream
  • Transportation: transit tickets for travel to job interviews
  • Office supplies are always appreciated, as they reduce our program spending on administrative items and allow us to allocate funding more fully to our program delivery. Examples of office supplies are paper, envelopes, binders, mailing labels, pens and pencils, etc.
  • Recreational Items: there are many items that go beyond our youths basic needs, but providing them with these "luxuries" can make all the difference. Examples of recreational items are gift certificates for clothing or food, movie passes and tickets to sporting events

Gordon House Youth S.E.A.R.Ch. appreciates all forms of donations, but unfortunately we are unable to provide pick-up service in most cases. If you would like to make a donation in-kind please call us to discuss options.

"As an independent store owner of a large grocery chain, I am proud to be in partnership with Gordon House Youth S.E.A.R.Ch. I have employed youth through their Skills Link program and have made recommendations to other MarketPlace IGA owners who would benefit from employing youth from this program. I believe in the good work they do and this is why I will continue to work with them in the future and recommend them to other employers."
